About Bay District Volunteer Fire Dept Inc
Bay District Volunteer Fire Department, originally known as Lexington Park Volunteer Fire Department, was incorporated in 1943. We currently run two fire houses, Station 3 in Lexington Park MD, and Station 9 in California MD, all under one department. In 2025, we responded to 2,766 calls, which is the most in the past 10 years.
Protecting our community, and the surrounding communities, is our number one priority. Our dedicated members put in a lot of time training together, keeping the apparatus cleaned, stocked, and ready to respond on a moments notice, and supporting the community, whether it is for an emergency situation, installing smoke detectors, providing fire prevention education, or participating in community events.
Bay District Volunteer Fire Dept Inc is a Department participating in the Maryland Firefighter 50/50—Draw 37 a 50/50 Raffle event, presented by Maryland Firefighter.
