Fire and rescue missions
The Ellerslie Volunteer Fire Company has proudly served the citizens of Allegany County and surrounding communities since 1946. Our department is 100% volunteer, meaning every firefighter, EMT, and support member donates their time to protect our community.
While many people assume fire departments are fully government funded, the reality is that a large portion of our operating budget comes from community support and fundraising efforts.
When you participate in our raffles, events, and fundraisers, those proceeds directly help support critical needs such as:
🔥 Emergency Equipment & Apparatus
Maintaining and replacing fire trucks, rescue equipment, protective gear, breathing apparatus, and lifesaving tools used during emergencies.
🚑 Training & Certification
Ensuring our volunteers receive the training necessary to safely respond to fires, vehicle crashes, rescues, and other emergencies.
📟 Technology & Communications
Upgrading radios, tablets, mapping systems, and communication equipment that help our responders operate safely and efficiently.
🏢 Station & Facility Maintenance
Keeping our fire station operational for emergency response, community meetings, and public events.
👨🚒 Volunteer Support & Recruitment
Helping us recruit, equip, and support the volunteers who answer the call when emergencies happen.
Every ticket purchased, event attended, or donation made stays right here in our community and helps ensure the Ellerslie Volunteer Fire Company can continue providing fast, reliable emergency service.
❤️ Your support truly makes a difference.
Thank you for helping us protect and serve our community.
