Maryland Firefighter 5050® is a monthly online drawing operated by the IAFF Local 1605 Foundation, with participation of over 120 Maryland fire departments.
One winner takes half the jackpot every month on the 15th, plus ten $250 early bird drawings, and an optional five more bonus drawings available only at checkout.
Each month begins with a $100,000 guaranteed minimum jackpot. Once it's hit - the jackpot increases in real time, growing as tickets are purchased across all participating departments.
The more people who participate, the bigger the jackpot!
All departments participating in one shared weekly drawing allows the jackpot to grow larger than individual departments could on their own.
On the 15th of every month we draw one winner who takes half the jackpot.
• Ticket sales close at 8pm. Once all sales finish processing and the tickets are verified and secured, the system randomly selects one ticket.
• The winning number is announced at 9pm.
• The winner takes 50% of the total jackpot.
• The remaining portion of the supports the participating department selected at checkout and program expenses.
The drawing is digitally generated through Fanthem.io, a secure, verified platform, and is not selected manually.
Winners are contacted immediately by phone, and email the following day if they cannot be reached by phone.
At checkout, you select the fire department you want to support.
Your purchase helps grow the shared jackpot while directing support to the department you choose.
Five early bird prizes of $250 each are drawn on the 5th of each month, and another five $250 prizes are drawn on the 10th also.
If you purchase prior to 8pm on the 5th - you will be eligible for all 10 early bird prizes, plus the jackpot.

At purchase you will be presented with an optional drawing for 5 more $250 prizes drawn after the jackpot drawing. This offer will be presented one time and is optional. Choose NO THANKS if you do not wish to enter and complete your checkout.
Presale tickets for the following month start after the winner is announced and run through the 1st. Special presale package are available and anyone who purchases presale tickets will be entered into all 10 early bird drawings, plus a pre-sale drawing for $250 that happens when the drawing opens on the 1st.
